Thank You for Attending Forum 2010

Nearly 2,000 educators from public and private secondary schools, colleges, universities, and non-profits attended Forum 2010. We thank you for lending your voice to the national discussion on education reform.

Thought-provoking sessions, workshops and plenary speakers addressed crucial topics in education — including policy, college admission, financial aid and college readiness. Plenary and special events included:

  • The Presidential Address by Nancy Zimpher, the Chancellor of the State University of New York system.
  • The College Fair and Presidential Reception.
  • A speech from Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.
  • The 2010 Trends Press Conference.
  • The Vision 2020 panel featuring the moderator of NBC’s "Meet the Press," David Gregory; Freeman Hrabowski, the president of The University of Maryland, Baltimore County; Michelle Rhee, the chancellor of District of Columbia Public Schools; and College Board President Gaston Caperton.
  • An evening reception on the National Mall at the National Museum of the American Indian.
  • The Inspiration Awards with former U.S. congressman from Maryland who was head of the NAACP, Kweisi Mfume.
